Meet our Coaches:

Head Coach: Adam Avery

Coach Adam is a senior at Colorado State University. After he   graduates in December, he plans on furthering his education to become a physical therapist. He has been swimming since he was seven and coaching swimming for four years. Aside from school, Adam plays water polo for CSU and he enjoys hiking, biking and camping. He’s back for his second year of coaching the Piranhas and is excited about contending for the #1 spot in our division.

 

Assistant Coach: Jasmine Olson

Jasmine Olson is a sophomore Anthropology major and Zoology minor at  CSU.   She got her start swimming for next-door neighborhood Heritage Village and has been swimming for 8 years since. She has also participated in summer triathlons for 4 years and just recently became a certified Scuba-diver. It will be her second year coaching swimming at the Preserve, and she plans on studying abroad in Sydney, Australia after the season wraps up. 

 

Assistant Coach: Kelly McCracken

My name is Kelly McCracken.  I'm 16 years old and will be a Junior at Littleton High School in the fall where I will be participating in the International Baccalaureate program.  At Littleton High School, I'm also involved with the DECA program and the swim team and golf team.  I've been swimming for the Preserve since I was five years old and have enjoyed every year!  This is my second year coaching and I'm really looking forward to it!

Assistant Coach: Andrew Gibbs

Andrew is a new coach for the Preserve this year, but not new to the team. Andrew will graduate from Arapahoe High School this year, and will attend Brigham Young University in the fall.  Andrew has swam competitively for the past six years,  and has attended  the Western Sectional Championship Meet five times qualifying in the 100 Fly, 200, 500, 1000, and 1650 Free, and also the 200 Back.  He was the high point swimmer for Arapahoe his sophomore year and swam long course season his junior year.  Currently he swims for Arapahoe and after two meets this season, is a 5A State Qualifier in 50 free, 100 free, 200 IM and 500 Free. Andrew enjoys the outdoors and a challenge, which would include backpacking, camping, hiking, AP Chemistry and Calculus.    Thank you for the opportunity to coach.  I am excited to be working with the Preserve Swim Team. We will have a fun, successful season! 

 

Junior Piranhas Coach: Jackie Philips

My name is Jackie Phillips. I have had extensive experience in all levels of competitive swimming since I was eight years old. I am a  proud member of the first swim team to win a state championship for Regis Jesuit High School Girls’ Division. Previously, I have been an assistant coach for the Stroh Ranch Dolphins Swim Team. Currently, I  am a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder and I am a  member of the CU Swim Team. I also work at Lifetime Fitness as a  certified lifeguard and swim instructor, teaching all stroke  
techniques and specializing in butterfly and breaststroke.
